NSA Conservation Fund Distribution

We are delighted to begin our 107th year with the exciting announcement of our first distribution from the NSA Conservation Endowment Fund. As many of you know, we celebrated the 50th anniversary of Walter Chrysler’s wonderful gift of art to the community by creating this fund to help support the conservation of those works.

This summer the healthy growth and income in the fund has allowed us to make this distribution, which will be used to help conserve Shepherd and his Flock by Charles Emile Jacque. The painting will be featured in the upcoming exhibition, Farm to Table: Art, Food , and Identity in the Age of Impressionism, opening at the Chrysler Museums on October 11, 2024.

The Norfolk Society of Arts is proud to help support the crucial work done by Mark Lewis and the museum’s wonderful Conservation Department. Thank you all for your support of the fund.
